I honestly don’t remember where or when I first fell in love with blue willow china, but it was most likely one of the many loves passed to me from my vintage loving mama. No doubt while perusing a junk shop on one of our many thrifting trips. It was years after getting married that I finally had my own china cabinet, in fact if you want to see the process of me creating one from a thrift store discard check out this post HERE. My next step of course was to fill it with some beautiful vintage china. As is sometimes the case I had not the funds for this need nor the patience to wait until I did so my mind set to wondering how I could get around these obstacles. This is how I came to DIY my own beginnings of some beautiful french blue toile china plates. . I’m not suggesting you use this tutorial for a full set of China, because in fact they are just for looks. You cannot eat from these sweet plates, they are only for looks. But inside a cabinet or up on a wall they certainly do give a beautiful nod to china and I find it even more gratifying that I’ve made it myself.

Here is a quick and easy tutorial on how you can make some yourself. Here are the supplies I used:

IOD Decor Moulds ( you can see the ones that I used by clicking HERE )

IOD Decor Stamps by Prima ( please click on online ordering HERE to purchase stamp of your choice online. The european toile will be shipping to stores 4/15/17 )

IOD Decor Ink by Prima in provincial blue ( you can choose any color you want, in fact I bet the rouge would be gorgeous! Click HERE to order online )

Chalk Style paint and Glaze ( I used General Finishes in Limestone and you can order that HERE )

Finnabair by Prima Soft Gloss Gel ( order HERE )
