Hi–This technique is soooooo beautiful, classic & fun!!
Does the “white ink” of the transfer act like a resist, or embossing, and the transfer “design base sheet” [not the grid backer which is removed] give you control when applying the glaze/wash?
The end effect is a design that pops and additional color that doesn’t sink into your base material.

Just stunning gals!!!!!
Your creative spirit enhances the fun in life!
Hi Peg!
I am so happy to hear you loved this technique! The transfer itself acts as the resist, and when you blot the paint wash from your piece it easy lifts off the transfer. The white transfer shows best through the color. Let us know if you have any questions, and be sure to join our creative tribe here to share your finished project! Happy creating 🙂
I love this piece! Where can I get this exact transfer?
Hi Tina,

Just bought the transfer. Can you give a bit more info on the type of paint used for the wash? Was it acrylic, chalk? Thank you!
Hi Sandy,
Yay! That’s awesome. We used a chalk paint wash for this technique.
