Step-by-Step Guide

STEP ONE: CLEAN YOUR CANDLEHOLDERS

The first thing you’ll want to do is wash your candle holders. We would recommend using warm water and soap to remove any oils or residue. Dry thoroughly so that your transfers have a clean surface for good adhesion.

STEP TWO: SELECT YOUR DESIGNS

Browse and select your favorite elements from the Etiquettes gilded transfer. We decided to add two of the longer vines along the top and bottom of the tall candle holder. Don’t fret, our gilded transfers are stunning on curved surfaces! It can be a bit of a learning curve at first, but they do really well with a little patience and careful placement. 🙂

TIP: Always keep the transfer backing with the images before you are ready to apply. Dust and debris can interfere with adhesion.

STEP THREE: APPLY YOUR TRANSFER

Line up your transfers and hover to ensure they’re straight. Try to be as precise as possible when you’re setting them down. Occasionally you can reposition, but don’t count on it! It’s best to get it right the first time and smooth down over the curves before you begin using your applicator. Use firm pressure, and take your time. The results are worth it!

STEP FOUR: BURNISH YOUR SURFACE

Remove a piece of the transfer backing and use it to burnish your surface. This will ensure all of the tiny bits and edges are fully adhered to the glass candle holder.

STEP FIVE: ENJOY WITH FLAMELESS CANDLES

We recommend using flameless or LED candles inside the candle holders.
