DIY Wedding Roundup with IOD

Are you in the throws of all things wedding? Feeling overwhelmed by the exorbitant cost and time it takes to make all the decor for you or your loved one’s big day? (Side note, why is anything and everything having to do with a baby or wedding 10x as expensive??) Don’t worry, we gotchoo!

No time to read now? Pin this post for later.

One of the new trends for weddings is having DIY parties where friends and family gather in order to create projects for the wedding decor together. We ADORE this, as creating in community is totally our jam! Below you will find several projects that you can customize to make your own. Bonus, we include tutorial videos and link you to the products used so you can make a list and head over to your favorite stockist to stock up! (Don’t have one? Check our store locator.)

A HUGE bonus is that you can totally justify the expense of getting all the IOD you want! I mean, think of all the money you’ll be saving by making everything yourself, right? He he.

We have three different categories for the sake of keeping this post from getting too long. But the possibilities of DIY Wedding Decor are absolutely endless with IOD! Just off the top of my head, I can think of bridesmaid hangers, bridal and bridesmaids shoes, bride and groom glasses, chair embellishments, stemware charms for the wedding party, stamped linens, guest books, monogram stamped cookies, any treat in a monogram stamped bag and more!

DIY Wedding Signs

There are so many things that we love about a good wedding sign! Wedding signs are a wonderful way to make your wedding more personalized for you and your spouse, and we especially love how versatile they can be! You can customize them to fit your wedding theme and scatter them about for instructing your guests, personalize with your name (in case they forget who they’re there for) and delightful little messages of love!

Here are some that I made for Maddy’s (our DOO and Josie’s daughter) wedding!

Check out this awesome example of a DIY Wedding sign with Candice of The Passionate Home as she walks you through how to make a beautiful welcome sign that can seamlessly transition to the walls of your home for you to enjoy.

Wondering what IOD products she’s using? We’ve got you covered! Some of the tools Candice used in the video below are the IOD Retro Stamp, IOD Block Type Stamp and IOD Redoute ll Transfer.

Here is an idea! Grab some inexpensive barnwood plank laminate floorboards and make all kinds of signs using our erasable liquid chalk! Bonus, if you mess up, just wipe it off and do it again! See the video below!

How about some barnwood rustic charm for your wedding? This project is one of my personal favorites!

Love what you see? Find a stockist near you so you can snag some of the products used in these videos!

DIY Centerpieces

Centerpieces are a key part of your wedding decorations as they are seen by all your guests throughout the reception!

If you’re going for a cottage, shabby chic or farmhouse wedding theme, then these three centerpiece tutorials by Charlotte of Creative Sol Makery, Jami Ray Vintage and yours truly are for you! With beautifully upcycled mason jars and darling french farmhouse buckets, these would make the dreamiest centerpieces! And Jami Ray’s tutorial is fabulously inexpensive! And just like the wedding sign, you can keep these even after your wedding and use them for your newlywed abode!

If you’d like to get your hands on some of these products, Charlotte used the IOD Sunflower Mould, the IOD Trimmings 3 Mould and the IOD Air Dry Clay and Jami Ray used the IOD Cameos and IOD Frames Moulds.
Find them at your nearest stockist or a stockist online by using our store locator!

DIY Wedding Favors!

Wedding favors have come a long way since the days of Jordan almonds wrapped in tulle! (I’m not gonna lie, I love me some Jordan almonds!) However, people are getting all kinds of creative with these sweet little gifts for wedding guests! Our preference is to inspire you with some wedding favors that people are actually excited to receive, rather than your hard work ending up in the trash after your big day!

Check these DIY videos out:

Who doesn’t love a beautiful handmade soap? Pair that with our IOD Moulds and you have a wedding favor that is delightfully romantic! (This tutorial shows our Cameos, but there are so many moulds that would be fab for this DIY depending on your wedding vibe (i.e. farmhouse wedding? How darling would our new Village Market Mould be)!

How about a scrumptious sachet for your honored guests? Check this reel out on instagram!

These are so quick and easy to make, but nobody has to know that! They look like they were purchased from a tucked-away little french boutique! The beautiful linen bags are easily found on Amazon HERE.
