3 Creative Craft Projects to Try with the IOD Summer Collection
Good day, gorgeous. We've got a little something to brighten your week. đ
We've rounded up three stunning craft projects from our IOD Artisans using products from the IOD Summer Collection, and we want one of everything. From a dreamy cottage garden sign to a charming vintage gallery wall and a creator's journal you'll actually want to use, these tutorials are packed with ideas you can recreate and remix to your heart's content.
Grab your IOD supplies from your local stockist, and letâs get making!
01 | How to Make a Darling Cottage Garden Sign
Just like IOD Artisan Connie from The Painted Photographer, we love a good garden sign.
In this tutorial, though, Connie shares her technique in layering the new Orléans Stamp, a stencil, and florals from the Flowers by the Poets Transfer. She starts by staining a thin wood board, then uses silicone paint blades to build an irregular, old-world painted finish that feels aged in the very best way. The Orleans Stamp adds a distressed, map-like texture in the background before lettering and floral transfers bring the whole piece to life.
One of our favorite tips? Connie's transfer placement trick. She cuts apart floral swags and uses painter's tape as a hinge to layer the flowers in the right order. This creates a fuller, more custom design that looks like she planned it all from the start (even if she didn't đ ). We swooned.

Use the same technique on a larger porch sign, a potting bench accent, or a thrifted cabinet door for a sweet cottage garden moment.
02 | How to Create a Charming Vintage Gallery Wall
A gallery wall is one of the prettiest ways to bring a collected, vintage feel into your home, and this project proves you donât need to start with expensive pieces.
Lisa from Sweet and Sassy Treasures transforms thrifted frames and wall decor into a coordinated vintage gallery wall using the Belgravia Transfer, Frames 3 Mould, and Natureâs Etching Stamp. Each piece feels like it has its own story, but that off-white, black, and gold palette running through everything? Chef's kiss. Cohesive without being matchy-matchy.
If thrift flips are your love language, this tutorial was made for you. Lisa uses dictionary paper, stamped cardstock, resin mould castings, floral transfers, and metallic highlights to build pieces that feel layered, curated, and full of gorgeous character.

03 | DIY Creatorâs Journal with IOD Stamps & Gilded Transfers
For the makers who love vintage papers, bookmaking, and mixed media, this creatorâs journal is something special.
Lynne from Ellen J Goods turns a thrifted book into a handmade journal using vintage papers, coffee stained pages, the Frames 3 Mould, Athenaeum Foil Transfer, and several mini stamp sets from the IOD Summer Collection. She reinforces the book spine, decoupages papers, builds a removable signature, and adds gold transfer details throughout the pages.
The best part? This journal is designed to be useful, not just beautiful. Lynne adds stamped foldout pages, paint swatch areas, and spaces to catalog stamp designs, making it a personal creative workbook youâll actually want to open and use. "Creating a workbook that is very personal to you and very pretty will just encourage you, it encourages me, to actually open this workbook and use it. And use it as a valuable resource." - Lynne
