7 Beginner-Friendly Spring Decor DIYs
Spring is a natural season for renewal. It’s when we step back, look around our homes, and start craving a little more color, a little more life, and a few new layers of something pretty. The best part is you don’t have to buy a bunch of new things to get that feeling—some of the sweetest resets come from using what you already have.
Think a simple garland for the mantel, a thrift-flip centerpiece for the table, stamped tea towels for the kitchen, or a small upcycle that freshens up a forgotten nook. However spring refresh looks for you, we hope the tutorials below give you a good dose of encouragement and inspiration. Each one is beginner-friendly and pairs beautifully with IOD goodies you probably already have on hand. 🥰
Don't have the exact design in your stash because it's retired? Swap out with something you do have to create the same look. Grab your IOD goodies from your local stockist! If you’re not sure where to find one, click here to use our store locator.
DIY Charming Place Cards
These adorable little name tags are total charmers. We used the Apothecary Labels Stamp, beautiful touches from Countryside Memoirs, and soft watercolor treatments. They're simple, pretty, and a delightful finishing touch to make your guests feel extra special. Check out the tutorial here.
Craft Elegant Napkin Rings
If you’ve ever dreamed of adding a little vintage sophistication to your spring tablescape, this one’s for you. We’re using the Vintage Brooches Mould, dried blooms, and a soft gold finish to craft napkin rings. If you use removable glue dots instead of permanent adhesive, you can pop the brooch off and reuse it for other projects like gallery wall art, shadow boxes, or (the obvious) an actual brooch! Find the tutorial here.
Thrift Flip French Farmhouse Chargers
Today, we’re giving thrifted wood chargers a soft, vintage refresh with the lovely Trimmings 4 Mould, but truly, any Trimmings Mould you love will work beautifully for this one. The result is a gorgeous floral charger that effortlessly blends with various styles. Get a link to the tutorial here.
Upcycle A Sweet Wooden Centerpiece
We’re upcycling a thrifted wooden planter and a handful of wooden eggs, turning them into the most darling Easter decor. We used the Spring Melody Paint Inlay and Vintage Textures Stamp to create this charming French countryside look for Easter. Don’t have Spring Melody in your stash? Consider using Lattice Rose or Ditsy Blooms. Give this one a try here.
French Country Spring Garland
We used wooden eggs, bits from the Spring Melody Paint Inlay, and soft pastel ribbons to create French country decor that’s sweet and sophisticated. This garland would be absolutely dreamy draped across a mantel or hanging above a farmhouse table in a dining room. Find the tutorial here.
