Fall Pumpkin Stack with the IOD Hello Pumpkin Mould

In the spirit of the vibrant harvest in Western New York, Ellen J Goods is using the season’s bountiful produce as inspiration – specifically, pumpkins in an array of shapes, sizes, and colors. The project at hand involves crafting a decorative stack of Cinderella-esque pumpkins utilizing the IOD Hello Pumpkin Mould on an 11 by 30-inch wood board.

In the painting phase, a palette of muted farmers market-inspired colors is selected to create this look. The painting process involves thoughtfully applying layers, sometimes removing bits with a baby wipe for a mottled look, and finally applying dark wax for shading and depth on the pumpkins. The end result is a beautifully textured and color-rich stacked pumpkin display atop a “rusty” urn, masterfully created with detailed crafting and painterly techniques.
