French Country Thrift Makeover: Simply Elevate Your Decor with IOD Stamps
Makeover thrifted pots to complement your decor with a few straightforward steps, utilizing IOD's Veranda Stamp, Apothecary Labels Stamp, and Vintage Textures Crackle Stamps. We started with a basic thrifted red pot, which we swiftly revamped with neutral-hued chalk-type paint, adorned with exquisite florals from Veranda in IOD China Blue Ink, and topped off with the word “L’Herbe” using our small alphabet stamps from Apothecary Labels.
BTW, we’re totally obsessed with our newly released Apothecary Labels Stamp. This is the first set of our mini stamp series, which comes in a 6” x 6” case. Inside are four individual envelopes with four different alphabet fonts, label frames, and decorative elements. This is a craft closet must-have.
For a future project, we'd recommend sanding the surface of your pot lightly to enhance paint adhesion from the initial applications. The layering of paint and brushwork created a delightful texture. To introduce a quick, aged look, we applied the vintage texture crackle stamp as a final touch.
The most time-consuming part of this quick transformation is waiting for the paint to dry. To manage your time efficiently, consider working on other projects during this interval. Complete the look by placing a charming plant in the pot and setting it atop a stack of books, achieving a beautiful French Country aesthetic.
