Michelle Phippard, IOD Artisan

Michelle’s lifelong love of treasure hunting, vintage craftsmanship, and creating beauty by hand took root in 2013, after a career in Children’s Therapy and a serendipitous nudge from her creative soul.

Furniture painting is Michelle’s happy place, where she can be lost and found all at once. She’s been using IOD products for nearly a decade, not only in her work but also to help others take that brave first leap with a paintbrush and a big idea.

ā€œI’m humbled to be among such talent in IOD Artisans. Honestly, if my life were a reality show, you’d gasp at the faux pas and messes that happen before a completed project and wince at my overthinking. I’m grateful, excited, proud, and pinching myself just a little bit!ā€ -Michelle

Michelle’s passion, humor, and heart bring so much life to this team, and we’re so lucky to have her. 🄰

Karen Johnson, IOD Artisan

Karen has inspired the creative community for years with her stunning furniture flips, blending urban aesthetics with a little whimsy and refined elegance.

It all started with a chalk paint class and the thrill of reimagining vintage pieces into something beautiful. In 2016, Karen opened her shop in San Francisco, where she sold upcycled furniture and shared her passion for painted pieces.

"I love the art of modernizing well-made furniture from the last century and giving it a new life. Although my shop closed in 2023, I continue to create reimagined heirloom furniture." - Karen

Sammie Veltri, IOD Artisan

As a mom of four and a creative, Sammie inspires with so much heart, joy, and energy. Her first introduction to IOD started with the Crockery Stamp. From that moment, she was hooked on the way IOD instantly elevates even the simplest upcycle.

ā€œI’m excited to be a part of the IOD Artisan team because I truly feel that IOD products were made for everyone! Even the beginners! And I love being able to show people that,ā€ she says. And we couldn’t agree more. šŸ’—

Lisa Lorincz, IOD Artisan

A retired math teacher turned full-time creator, Lisa is now living her best creative life!

She’s been using IOD products for over seven years and still finds herself giddy over the possibilities each time she starts a new project. ā€œI love to think outside the box, and IOD makes that possible,ā€ she said, and you can absolutely see that playful, charming perspective in everything she creates.

Siobhan (Vonnie) Smith, IOD Artisan

As part of this evolving team of passionate makers, Vonnie brings heart, creativity, and vintage sophistication to the team, and we’re thrilled to have her.

A lifelong creative, Vonnie found solace in crafting, gardening, and photography during her 30-year career as a Pediatric ICU and ED nurse. ā€œIt was my therapy,ā€ she says, and we know so many of you can relate. About ten years ago, after the passing of her father, Vonnie followed her heart to delve into furniture painting full time.

She discovered IOD with her first love being The Wallflower transfer, and she’s been creating stunning, soulful pieces ever since. Now, as an IOD Artisan, she’s excited to encourage others, share her journey, and be a part of a community that celebrates creativity in all its beautifully imperfect forms.

Sonnet Uhlenbrauck, IOD Artisan

As part of this evolving team of makers, Sonnet brings her heart for reimagining forgotten items and her passion for sharing creativity with our creative community. Whether it’s a curbside castoff or a flea market gem, Sonnet has a knack for turning the forgotten into something beautiful, and she’s here to encourage and empower you to do the same.

ā€œI love showing how a little creativity (and the right IOD products!) can transform the ordinary into something truly extraordinary.ā€ – Sonnet
