How to Create Projects with IOD Paintable Decor Transfers!
Did we have you at “Create Projects”? Yah, we know all about the little spike of adrenaline the idea of creating can pump into your blood. Josie and I are all about inspiring you all to create and when we design that’s at the core of each and every single product. Well, this product is very very special to us and I’ll tell you why. It began ten years ago ( don’t worry, unlike most stories that start that way, this one will be brief, you have creating to get to after all!) when Josie and I were designing paper crafting products and we developed and designed a product called “Paintables”. 12×12″ sheets of paper with water color texture and weight that had beautiful vintage designs intended to be painted and then used in paper crafts. We absolutely loved watching women sit and color these sheets with all kinds of mediums like water color pens, colored pencils, shimmer pots and more. The experience truly took one back to kindergarten when we just colored for the pure enjoyment of it. Fast forward to today and our IOD Paintable Decor Transfers are having the same effect on people everywhere. Nothing thrilled us more than to see Debi Beard on YouTube sharing her experience! Check it out here:
Debi used Midnight Garden full color Decor Transfer and Astoria Paintable Decor Transfer 🙂
One thing we ADORE about the IOD Decor Paintable Transfers is that they’re beautiful even when you DON’T paint them! Check out this example using Michelle Phippard of Serendipity House ‘s beautiful dresser project
Josie and I created this project tutorial so you can see how easy it is to make one yourself!
Look how we show the same Decor Transfer applied to ply wood the same way but then “colored in” using watered down chalk style paints!

Here is a video of Josie painting with Faber Castelle Pitt Water Color pens on our IOD Decor Transfer “Catalog of Roses” and just after you can see an image of the completed project.
